October 28, 2015 – State Capitol Building, MADISON, WISCONSIN

In conjunction with The Capitol Group, WCA’s Legislative Committee has coordinated a Legislative Day at the State Capitol to give all WCA members an opportunity to meet with your representatives while the legislature is in session.  Your help to influence the Legislature to reform the post-judgment interest rate for small claims judgments is critical.

Scheduled for Wednesday, October 28 at the Capitol Building, the day will begin with a welcome from WCA President, Joe Leventhal, and Senator Steve Nass (R-Whitewater) at 11a.  The Capitol Group will then provide an update on the Post-Judgment Interest legislation along with various talking points that you can use during your meetings with legislators.  A representative from the DFI will join us for lunch after which members will attend pre-scheduled meetings, beginning at 1p.

The cost to attend this Legislative Day is minimal (only $10 for lunch) – but the payoff could be substantial.  Don’t miss this opportunity to share your concerns about legislation that adversely affects our industry!  WCA members have worked very hard to help our state’s legislators understand how important this issue is for large and small agencies alike – it is important that we continue to keep this momentum going.

Click here to register yourself and anyone else from your company to attend WCA’s Legislative Day at the Capitol on October 28. In order to be sure that the appropriate meetings are scheduled for you, we do need everyone to register for this event.  While we will work to schedule meetings for you with representatives from your home and/or work districts, if there are other legislators with whom you would prefer to meet, you can make a note of this within the registration form.  If you are unsure of who your legislators are, click here for the list.  Once scheduled, you will be provided with the specific locations of your meetings.

We hope you will take this opportunity to help shape legislation that directly impacts us all.  Register today!
